Fundraising: Easy Ways You Can Help
The Demarest Home and School Association runs several big fundraisers during the school year, including special events, book fairs, school spirit sales, and a spring plant sale. The money goes to sponsor enrichment programs for students, subsidize class trips, and purchase special supplies for the school — from birthday pencils to teacher “wish list” items to computing equipment.
You can help by becoming a member of the HSA and participating in our activities. In addition, there are several other ways you can support us financially throughout the year, without paying an extra cent.
1) Clip Your Box Tops
This is an easy way to raise money for Demarest. Clip the Box Tops on labeled packages and send them into the school with your child, or drop them off in the wooden bins under the yellow HSA sign. Each Box Top is worth 10 cents — they add up fast! Last year, the HSA submitted more than $1,000 worth of box tops.
2) Search and Shop Through iGive.com
When you register for iGive.com and then search or shop through its portal, you earn Demarest a penny or more per search, plus up to 26 percent of your purchases at stores that include Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Expedia, Office Depot, Staples and more.
3) Office Depot Gives 5% Back to Demarest
Simply make a purchase of qualifying school supplies, provide the Demarest ID No. 70065659 at checkout and Demarest will receive 5% back in credits for FREE supplies!
It’s a small act that can make a huge difference.
